Parent Workshop for Supporting Children's Mental Health - 4th & 5th Feb, 6pm

We are delighted to offer the opportunity for parents to attend a one-hour workshop on supporting children’s mental health, with a focus on understanding the teenage brain and practical techniques that can be used to improve children’s resilience. The session will be delivered by expert practitioners from BRIYM (Building Resilience in Young Minds). BRIYM is a group of highly qualified therapists who have all worked in schools and have now joined together to offer bespoke support to schools, parents and children to improve mental health in young people. More information on the BRIYM team can be found on their website www.briym.co.uk.

We will run two sessions during Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, as follows:

Tuesday 4th February - 6:00 - 7:00pm - for parents of KS4 and KS5 children

Wednesday 5th February - 6:00 - 7:00pm - for parents of KS3 children

The sessions will take place at school, in the Main hall. There is no charge for this event. Whilst we have separated the key stages, the content in each session will be largely the same, so parents of multiple children, in more than one key stage, should choose the session most convenient to them. We anticipate a high uptake for these sessions and so ask that, where possible, one parent per family attends.

Places should be booked in advance by following the links below:

We look forward to welcoming you to what should be an interesting and insightful workshop. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
