We’re very excited to share with you that our very own Mrs Jo Madz-Martinez, Head of Girls PE at Edgbarrow, or Miss Madz as she's known to the students, has won one of England Football’s #LetGirlsPlay Awards!

Jo was the brains behind the successful #LetGirlsPlay event that we held in March, an initiative set up by England Football and the Girls’ Football School Partnership. Our “Biggest Football Session” saw over 160 pupils playing football for an hour, alongside some Reading FC players. Jo was one of six national award winners out of thousands of applications. She won two tickets to the Women’s FA Cup Final in May and has a prestigious award to show for her efforts, as well as this brilliant video made by the Football Association (click on image below to watch)!
