Behaviour & Attitudes

Edgbarrow School is built upon the foundations and vision of our school which promotes “academic excellence, mutual respect and a sense of community within a vibrant, purposeful working environment, enabling all individuals to develop their talents and acquire skills for life” – and its key values of Ready, Respectful, Safe and Positive. These values underpin our schools’ behaviour and attitudes code and policy.

We take the opportunities to celebrate students’ achievements throughout the school year through year group assemblies, Edgpoints, personal congratulations and our Celebration of Success event.

Our Behaviour Code is robust and supports students and staff, allowing students the opportunity to correct behaviour and attitudes. The policy also allows reflection and restoration of learning relationships.

Each lesson starts with a Positive Learning Routine that sets a purposeful atmosphere and environment for the lesson and increases productivity and learning. We believe in enforcing the small things to achieve outstanding expectations for all students.
