Senior Science Technician

Hours 35 hours per week; Term time only

We are looking for a Senior Science Technician who should be an organised team player with good literacy, numeracy and communication skills to join our successful Science Department. The post holder will be responsible for supervising the technical staff, supporting teaching and learning within the department by preparing apparatus for all subjects (Biology, Chemistry & Physics). A particular knowledge of chemistry to support A Level practicals would be desirable. Duties will include preparing and maintaining specialist equipment and resources for demonstration or use by students.

Learning Support Assistant

Hours 30 hours 25 mins per week (term time only)

We require a Learning Support Assistant to provide general support to our SENCO in the management of individual and groups of children in the classroom. We are looking for a caring individual who will, amongst other duties, support and supervises pupils in lessons (under the direction of the class teacher). Experience and/or qualification in the English curriculum would be an advantage. You must have good numeracy and literacy skills and have experience of working with or caring for children between the ages of 11 and 18. To have completed the DFE Teacher Assistant Induction programme would also be an advantage.
